Product Information

South DotLas Plus Hybrid GNSS I SLAM Receiver is a GNSS RTK hybrid that pairs a 1,408-channel engine with a Mid-360 SLAM sensor for mixed GNSS+SLAM workflows. When RTK is interrupted, Mixed Solution maintains measurement continuity, while PPP-B2b offers decimeter results without a base.

For field efficiency, it supports 0–60° tilt survey and delivers RTK accuracy of H 8 mm + 1 ppm / V 15 mm + 1 ppm. The SLAM module captures 200,000 pts/s with 0.1–70 m range for indoor and outdoor mapping. Its compact design, IP64 rating, and up to 1 TB storage make it practical for demanding survey environmentsand large-scale data collection.

Beyond GNSS and SLAM integration, the DotLas Plus offers AirMeas and Magicalc modes, enabling <10 cm accuracy for close-range and obstructed-point measurements. These applications expand usability for power line checks, building corners, and other locations where direct GNSS observation is not possible.

Connectivity is optimized with a UHF RX 410–470 MHz radio, Ntrip support, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot with Web UI. Combined with its iGrip 50 Wh battery, the system delivers over 2 hours of operation with quick USB-C charging, ensuring reliable performance across diverse field conditions.

Q1: How does “Mixed Solution” differ from standard RTK?

A1: Fixed RTK uses base corrections in real time; Mixed Solution time-syncs SLAM trajectory with prior GNSS to compute positions when satellites are unlocked.

Q2: What short-range tasks fit AirMeas and Magicalc?

A2: AirMeas enables contactless picks within ~10 m (<10 cm). Magicalc continues points within ~50 m when GNSS unlocks (<10 cm), depending on scene texture and path.

Q3: What tilt performance can I expect?

A3: Tilt survey works from 0–60° with accuracy around RTK plus ~0.7 mm per degree using a 1.8 m pole.

Q4: Is the UHF link transmitter built in?

A4: The receiver includes an RX radio (410–470 MHz) supporting Farlink/SOUTH/TrimTalk450S/ZHD/HUACE protocols; it is designed for rover reception.

Q5 : How is data managed in the field?

A5: Web UI over Wi-Fi/USB, storage to internal SSDs (up to 1 TB), and transfer via USB/FTP/HTTP; supports RTCM, Rinex, NMEA outputs.
