South DL-202 Digital Level
The South DL-202 is a digital level for construction and engineering leveling, with 1.5 mm standard deviation per km of double-run leveling. It reads a bar-code staff from 2 to 110 m and shows height and distance on an illuminated 2-line display. Press the trigger key to measure and record in one step, and let the onboard program reduce the line, check each station and warn you when a reading is out of tolerance. Benefits No reading or booking errors: the level reads the staff and stores the result. Height difference and cumulative stadia difference calculated in the field. One trigger key to measure and record. 16 hours per battery and IP55 for full site days. Applications Construction and site leveling Topographic detail and contour work Road, rail and tunnel cross-sections Settlement observation Machine and foundation leveling

- 2 to 110 m range: digital reading of a bar-code staff.
- Trigger key: measure and record in one press.
- Onboard leveling program: automatic reduction, station check and over-tolerance alarm.
- Magnetic-damped compensator: range over ±12', 0.50" setting accuracy.
Overview
The South DL-202 replaces reading and booking a staff by eye. The level reads a bar-code staff electronically, so the crew sees height and distance on the screen and the reading goes straight into memory. That removes the two most common leveling mistakes on site: misreading the staff and writing the wrong number in the field book.
Accuracy is 1.5 mm standard deviation per km of double-run leveling with the digital reading, and 2.0 mm when you read the staff optically. Digital readings work from 2 to 110 m and take under 3 seconds in normal conditions. A magnetic-damped compensator with a range of more than ±12' keeps the line of sight level after a quick setup.
The onboard program handles line leveling with automatic reduction, station checks and an over-tolerance alarm, and it calculates the height difference and the cumulative stadia difference as you go. Up to 20,000 points are stored and moved to the office over USB. The battery runs about 16 hours and the housing is rated IP55.
When the DL-202 is not the right choice: for control networks, precise monitoring or first-order leveling, the DL-2007 reaches 0.7 mm per km and adds an SD card slot and a 4-line display. If you only need to transfer heights on a small site, an automatic optical level costs less.
