Overview
The South NTS-332R10 is a straightforward 2-second total station with a keypad, a 2.7" black-and-white LCD and onboard programs for data entry, measurement, stakeout and roads. It fits contractors, schools and small firms that need a reliable instrument for routine jobs and do not need a touch screen or Android.
With a prism it measures 2 mm + 2 ppm out to 5000 m. Without a prism it reaches 1000 m with 3 mm + 2 ppm, which covers facades, inaccessible points and quick detail shots. The dual-axis compensator works over ±6' and the laser plummet centers the instrument to 1.5 mm at 1.5 m.
Up to 80,000 points are stored internally and moved to the office over Micro USB. The Li-ion battery runs about 8 hours, and the IP54 housing protects against dust and splashing water.
When the NTS-332R10 is not the right choice: an 8-hour battery and IP54 are enough for normal days, but long days in heavy rain call for the N6+ (16 h, IP55) or N41 (20 h, IP66). There is no Wi-Fi or SD card slot, so data moves over Micro USB.
